No-Gi BJJ Gent
It's no secret that no-gi bjj, also known as submission grappling, has become super popular in the last few years. Back in the day no-gi BJJ was just what the name implied, it was gi bjj but people forgot to put their gis on.
These days the no-gi game has changed dramatically. It has its own techniques, its own superstars, and definitely, its own fans. Sadly, most gyms still teach it as an afterthought, teaching the same techniques but only once per week (if that).
Meet our No-Gi Program
No-GI is an entirely different skill set, That's why we treat it as a separate program with its own lesson plan and coach.
Ilyas Qazi runs our No-Gi program, he's an international competitor that spends multiple months every year with B-Team and Tristar.
When he's not with us, he's still in charge of the lesson plan. On the picture you see him train with GSP, no big deal, just throwing that out there.
How we aim to provide the best No-Gi BJJ in Gent
If you want to get good at no-gi, you need to focus on it. You can't just copy-paste your gi classes. Here's how we do that
- No Gi lesson Plan - You need a structured lesson plan that sticks with the same position for a long time (one month plus) to remember and be proficient in any technique.
- Different Class Structure - You need the classes to use a variety of training methods that mix up the intensity, resistance, and complexity. These need to be tailored to the specific needs of the no-gi game.
- Good techniques - No gi has an entirely different set of techniques and a different meta. You need to work on heel hooks, wrestle-ups and body lock passing. We teach all of those and more.

Finding the entrance
You can just click the map above to find the easiest route to the gym. But sometimes people have a hard time finding the entrance because it's a bit hidden. That's why we're adding some extra instructions.
If you go to the location on the map below, you'll find a bike store named "Grand Départ" to get to the gym, you need to walk through the parking and walk in through the red gate on the right. There you'll see a tent, the door is under the tent on the right.
Parking instructions
Sadly, we're not allowed to park in the parking lot of the bike store or next to the gym. That's why you will need to park on the street.
