Venue & Training Time Rules
Turn the lights off.
If you leave the toilet, the dressing room, or when you're the last to leave the gym, please make sure to turn off the lights.
Sign up for classes using Sportbit
Before you attend a class, please sign up using the Sportbit app. This helps us keep track of what classes are popular and which ones aren't. This also counts for the open mat. If you signed up for a morning class and can't make it, please let your coach know the night before, before 21:00.
Only train when there is a coach in the room.
You can use the mats outside the scheduled classes, but only if there is a coach in the venue with you. This can be either a BJJ coach or a boxing coach.
If you want to drill outside of the normal BJJ schedule and there is no BJJ coach available, follow the following steps:
1. Check the boxing schedule, and only go where there is a boxing class going on.
2. Before you head to the dressing room, ask the boxing coach how long they will be there.
3. Make sure to be ready to leave the venue at the same time as the coach leaves. If another coach arrived in their stead, talk to them too.
Keep the toilet clean.
If you use the toilet, make sure to put the seat back down. If you spray on the bowl, please wipe it off. If there's no paper, let a coach know so they can replace it.
Park on the street.
You can't park next to the venue, and you can't park in the bike store parking either. You need to park on the street. If this rule isn't followed, you are at risk of being towed, and we're at risk of being kicked out of Woest.
No naked bodies.
You're not allowed to be shirtless or pantsless in the training room. Only in the dressing room and the shower.
Don't enter the store without a coach.
Don't enter the room that says βgeen toegang,β which is dutch for don't enter. I'm not sure how else to say this.
Give productive feedback, be open to feedback, and talk things out.
We want to make the gym as good as possible, but we all have blind spots. The only way to overcome our blindspots is through the power of feedback. That's why we must learn to give productive feedback and accept it.
β οΈΒ The coaches need the most feedback of everyone, so if something could be better, let them know. If you're afraid to give feedback. Feel free to ask another coach to forward the feedback for you.
Hygiene Rules
Bring flip-flops, but store them in the closet.
We expect you to wear flip-flops or your shoes when you are off the mats or on the side of the mats with the footprints painted on. You can leave your flip-flops at the gym, but you need to store them in the closet, not just randomly on the floor.
Respect the line on the mats.
There's a line on the mats that divides it into two parts.
Side with footprints painted on it β Here, you are supposed to wear shoes or flip-flops, you should avoid stepping or rolling on it as much as possible during sparring.
Clear side β Here, you can only enter barefoot or with special wrestling shoes that aren't worn anywhere else.
Mats cleaned after every session.
Mats need to be cleaned after every session. Coaches are responsible for making sure the mats are cleaned. If you see a coach leaving without cleaning, feel free to point this out t them. If you're afraid to do that, tell Stapho or Dario.

Make sure both your finger and your toenails are cut short before class.
Clean your gear.
Never do more than one session with the same gi/ rashguard/ shorts unless they directly follow each other.
Don't train with staph or ringworm and let your coach know if you spotted some
